Spring has finally arrived

Sorry sorry, it has been a long break! (And apologies to everyone who keep checking on the blog to see that nothing has been uploaded yet. Just a little hint - did you notice on the side panel that there is an option for you to sign up for alerts? This feature will inform you via email when a new post has been posted!). Too long I know, but much has happened. First the usual blah blah story about April / May being a busy month at work plus being non-stop sick (yes again! Or rather I never did get better from the last bout) and then Angel’s 8th tooth started popping out and she was getting up very frequently at night crying. So I was of course up through the night, soothing her…with the breast (which of course turned into a habit again! Arrggh) . Then the big event – Mahmah and Kongkong arrived. We had a very lovely time, but it was packed! But more on that later!

Let’s start where we left off…. Or close to anyway. After a ver
y very dreadful, wet, cold April (as compared to the very very lovely, not a single drop of rain in April last year), we finally saw some light literally! The sun decided to pity us all and pay a little visit. SO! We took full advantage of it and had a number of BBQs (3 of them in fact and all of them were with the Molas’!) Oh was Bibou sooo very happy to see E and K… and we had a really good time getting her to do everything we asked as we’d say, ‘do you want to see E and K? Well, you need to finish up your meal; have your shower; get to bed…etc. She did it all!!! Without complain.. gotta love them rewards.

The sun was just glorious! Daddy got out the lawnmower, and got the garden nice and ready. He even pulled out the swimming pool and filled it (with very cold water! Can’t believe the kids love it). Bibou was just soo excited that she kept asking where E and K are? When are they coming?

Finally they arrived. And they totally spoilt us, bringing all the salad and even the meat to go on the BBQ, and drinks. The boys did a fab job in manning the BBQ
, keeping the drinks at a free flow and the kids well occupied and entertained. After lunch, we dragged out the deck chairs, and K and I just had a most relaxing time lying in the sun, getting the first (& then second and third) sun bath of the year (I got lovely browned though K got terribly burnt the first day! She was really HOT).

The kids had lots of fun splashing in the pool, screaming in fun. Seraphine was just adorable. We had to be especially careful with her as her skin has never seen sunlight before. We lathered her up in sun screen, a hat and kept her in the shade as much as possible. She was totally enjoying the heat AND playing with water (take a look at the video below). I know this was mean, but I cou
ldn’t help giving her a tiny taste of bubbly water, and the resulting photos were just hilarious!

It was just a lovely time. The weather has now turned back to yucky again how sad. But at least we made full use of it!

Ok, here are some videos :
