July 14th was Bastille Day. We didn’t go into Paris to watch the parade as we figured that there would have been too many people. However, I suggested that Bibou is probably old enough to go watch the fireworks … So that night, we let Bibou stayed up (boy was she excited about it!) in her room (we were going to see if she would be able to stay up). Surprise surprise, she was awake, and so off she went with Daddy on the bike (I stayed behind with Angel who was fast asleep by then). According to Daddy, Bibou was at first a little scared, not surprising, given that it was really dark by that time and there were lots of people. She didn’t want to get off the bike and asked to return home. Fortunately, Daddy managed to persuade her and soon got into it. When the fireworks started, she was mesmerized by it. Daddy also managed to get a ‘wow’ from her….and an applause.
We also got a nice visit from Aunty V. She arrived a day after my birthday (which was lovely this year as I got a wonderful surprise BBQ lunch organized by Daddy and good friend Karen, and even got to blow out candles on A’s homemade cakes). She totally totally spoilt the kids; bringing and buying them tons of lovely outfits. The girls had lots of fun with her. Aunty V also extended her stay so that we could go shopping at the factory outlet over the weekend. We (as in the adults) had lots of fun. Aunty V also loves feeding the kidlets as she says that they're so easy to feed. They'd eat almost everything. She was also most amazed that Angel will eat (and actually totally enjoys) 'smelly' French cheese. There's a picture of her holding onto a piece of camambert (and eating it!).
My little Angel is no longer a baby! In her looks, her demeanor, in everything! She’s walking everywhere, in fact, she’s climbing everywhere (ie no more crawling), and boy is she fast especially when she knows that she’s going somewhere you don’t want her to! Ah yes, she’s very VERY cheeky and mischievous! She has a wonderful great sense of humor and just loves to smile / laugh; and more importantly, she’d do anything to get you to laugh too. The other day, she and Daddy went for a little walk, or rather a long walk for her, and apparently, she just tickled just about everyone she met on the way and back ‘coz everyone she sees, she’d greet them with this infectious little giggle of hers. Everyone was just enthralled by her. She’s most expressive now, though she’s not forming any ‘real’ words (in our language at least – though I’m sure that they mean something in her language), she is definitively speaking and telling us what she wants! She’s not a very cuddly baby though, she doesn’t like to cuddle, and much prefers to be walking around or dancing or running. She loves to imitate now, especially her big sister. Whenever Bibou is dancing / singing, she’d follow suit, clapping her hands along with the music. One of our most favorite thing that she does is playing ‘peekaboo’ with her hands. I’ve posted a video down below of her doing that. It’s most funny. She saw me doing it once with her, and she started doing it.
That’s it for now. I hope to be able to blog more over the next few weeks!
A video of little Angel playing peekaboo on my shoulders.
The girls most favorite activity right now - having a bath together! They just have a blast together.
Bibou being the big sister and giving her baby sister a hand in pushing her swing. She's really focused in her 'job' and you can hear her giving Angel encouragement in going higher! :). Angel's LOVING it.
And Bibou, the 'fearless' on her swing!
Bibou's first night out and watching the fireworks.
A video of Aunty Val with the girls. Here you can see Angel dancing along with her big sister.
My ultimate fav video now, this is Angel playing peekaboo with us, during a meal with Aunty Val.
A funny video of Angel's first time in boots. She took to it really gamely!
THANK YOU :)
