Here comes the ... pretty flower girl!

** UPDATE : Opps, Sorry, in my excitment, I forgot to mention that sweet 'aunty' Michelle also presented Bibou a beautiful swarovski necklace for being her flower girl! Bibou, who's wearing the necklace in this first photo, was absolutely delighted with her present and wears it regularly! We have to hide it sometimes, so to ensure that she doesn't loose it! Thanks aunty Michelle!

This is it! Finally the day that we've been waiting for, the day that Bibou has been waiting for so impatiently! She's been waiting excitedly for the longest time for this day, constantly talking about it to anyone and everyone she mets, telling them that she's going to be the 'flower girl' at Michelle's wedding. We've showed her the video from our wedding so that she knew what to expect (the very first time she saw the video, she was so quiet... she was stunned to see so many people she knew on TV!! And she couldn't help yelping out everytime she saw someone she knew.... "Look, it's mahmah!....oooohh, it's Grumps! LOOOOOOOOOK it's Mummy, like a princess" (she loves bridal dresses as they look like princesses to her)). We also found out from Michelle what the song was going to be when Bibou would walk in, and we got her to practice! At first, we were a little worried as Bibou, being so conscious and all, started walking like a duck! She was so anxious about doing such a good job that she ‘plodded’ purposefully, concentrating on each step and they were rather large steps! But it all turned out very well at the church as you can see in the video below. We were also worried (all for nothing of course!) that she would be too tired, or too excited or just won’t go down the aisle. But it went very well. I think that the fact that we’ve been seeing Michelle every day since our arrival helped as she adored being with Michelle (especially since she got to watch Telly all day there LOL). Yes, since we arrived, we were at Michelle’s place every day, to visit and also to help out whenever possible. Me, I cooked almost every day so to feed everyone! Though it was not easy being in someone else’s kitchen (even though it was HUGE and lovely to work in), I managed to churn out edible food hehehehe.

On Friday, which turned out to be nice in the end… no rain and it wasn’t too grey and sometimes we even had a bit of sun! I got myself ready and then Bibou. Lucky Bibou had 2 outfits to wear, the first was the outfit that would match the bride – red and white. Once we got her lovely outfit on, I plonked her on the chair and put some make up on her. She was really very very good! Had some blush and outline her eyebrows. She even stood rather still (as still as a never-can-be-still girl can be) for the mascara part! The only ‘problem’ was that her eyelashes were soooooooooooo long it kept smudging! Me thinks little Missy is gonna have some make-up problems when she grows up! Rub on some red lip gloss and my precious little girl became an even more gorgeous little princess! I didn’t do her hair as we were going to get Michelle’s hairdresser to do something, so I brought her up to the ‘big princess’ room. You should have seen the look on her face, she was first sooo proud to be all dressed up and having make up, and then she was sooo awed at the ‘bigger princess’ getting ready. Unfortunately, the bride and bridesmaid were so not ready so I had to leave Bibou with them, while I went back to Angel and Daddy (who was practicing hard!), got them ready and off we went to church. We didn’t need to rush though, they were soooooooooo late!! More than 45 minutes late. I was getting really impatient to see my little princess, and I was not disappointed. When they arrived, I had tears in my eyes, looking at my little girl. She was all demure, her hair in light curls (though I was a little disappointed with her hair, I think I could have done a better job), walking lightly and holding hands. She did an awesome job coming the aisle, though she’d stopped just a little too early and caused a slight ‘traffic’ jam LOL. During the 45 minutes service, Bibou had to stand with everyone up front. She did get a little restless (to stand still for 45 minutes for a little girl, let alone Bibou???), but Martin and Gina, the best man and bridesmaid did a fabulous job in keeping her entertained and they too told me that she was so good. During the registry, Daddy played “You look wonderful tonight’ wonderfully (sorry for the pun, couldn’t resist).

After the wedding, we all rushed back. We got Bibou changed into her other beautiful gown (we couldn’t use this as the ‘wedding dress’ as it wasn’t the right color). I changed her hair a little too, pining it up and putting in a tiara! Totally loved the look. We got to the ballroom, and realized that we’d missed the photo taking L and as they were running very late for the food, we had to rush into the hall where a light dinner was served. Bibou totally loved the magnificent dress that she had on, especially since it had a lovely ‘spin’ effect. She kept going onto the dance floor and ‘spinning’. After dinner, came the entertainment! Unfortunately, Angel was getting very very tired and cranky (no nap!), so I took her up while Bibou and Daddy continued. Apparently, Bibou danced all through the night with Daddy (I’m really sorry I missed that), she did very well, dancing on her own (many people apparently commented that she danced very well) and then in Daddy’s arms for the later part when she got tired. Daddy brought a very sleepy and tired girl up at around 11.30 pm (who crawled into bed, whimpered that she was tired and fell straight to sleep!). Daddy went down to continue partying, he got to sing a song with the band up stage and continued to jam with them through the night. He crawled into bed at around 3.00 am I’m sure. Everyone woke up late the next day! What a day!

The bridal walk with my precious.

Do the spin! She just loves any dresses that 'spins'!

Daddy's recital!
