Yup, it was a relatively nice day, as compared to the rest of the summer, it wasn't rainy nor damp. It wasn't hot, but there was a bit of sun and so, off to EuroDisney with Dan and his family as we've been planning for a long time. First thing in the morning, they came over to our home to hook up, and so that Daddy could also help them hook up their buggy board. We also got Bibou to see Dan so that she knows that Dan is in the other car (and hopefully will not ask us where Dan is. But she still kept asking for Dan!). And off we went. The journey, at first, was quite rapid and uneventful as it is the vacation period. However, that changed very quickly. As we were approaching EuroDisney, and probably had about 5 more kms to go, when there was a huge bottleneck and traffic slowed to literally a crawl. Of course! It's August - when they decide it is time to fix / upgrade the roads (dont know why they can't do it at night!). grrrrrrr. So what would have taken less than 5 minutes, took a long time, made even longer when... Bibou decided she had enough of the traffic jam and threw a fix. She started crying and screaming. At first we thought that she was getting carsick and wanted to throw up, so Daddy pulled over. But she wasn't sick, but she wouldn't tell us what was wrong. By this time, Dan had gone ahead already, so we quickly got back into the car (well, as quickly as a crying toddler would go in) and tried to catch up. The traffic was horrible! Made worst by a consistently louder and higher screaming by Bibou... so much so that Daddy lost his patience. We had gotten to EuroDisney toll (for the parking) and was queuing to get in when Daddy decided he'd had enough and got out, took Bibou out of the car (and she stopped crying immediately) put her on the stroller and walked into the carpark. Geesh what a start.
Finally hooked up with the others and we rushed into the park. Gulp! The first of many lines - the queue to buy entry tickets was HUGE! Coralie and I stayed out on a bench with the babies while the Dads and older kids and Mamita stood in line (and tried to keep the kids occupied). I think it took about an hour to get the tickets. That was just the start! By the time we got in, we, including the adults were hungry and cranky! As it was near mid-day already, Fred made the very good suggestion of rushing to the restaurant so that we would be able to get to a table and eat first! So off we went to the restuarant that they suggested, as the Disney characters came to the table to meet you while you ate. It took a while, but we got our seats and sat down. And the characters came... first was Chip (or was that Dale?), and we saw Tigger, and Mickey. Dan was alll excited. But But But...sigh, when Bibou saw them, she got all scared again and climbed up either Daddy or myself to get away from them, and started crying. Sigh. So we didn't get any photos of her with any of the characters. We also got stuck at the restuarnat for a while, ...because little Yohan did a HUGE boo-boo. He threw up (he's got reflux too, so we've got a lot to look forward to I'm sure) allll over himself, his Mummy and the floor. Coralie had to run out and get a new shirt.

So finally, we got out of the very expensive and really 'ok' food and started to go towards the rides. Blimey, most of the rides had at LEAST an hour's wait. Sigh. First ride we came to was a huge merry-go-round... and the sign said that the wait was about 15 minutes. Well, not too bad. So the Pops and the kiddies got onto the queue while us Mummies fed our babies on the bench outside. Soon I realized why the wait was only 15 minutes. It wasn't a very long ride at all! Right, next onto the famous "It's a small world after all" ride. Man was the queue long. Again, us Mummies stayed behind with the strollers and babies. There was a small ice cream stand with tables and chairs to sit and relax. So we parked ourselves there while I went to get some drinks. MAN! The queue wasn't long but it was reallllly slow. By the time I got my drinks, I realized that Daddy and Bibou were at the table with us! I was really surprised...Where's Dan? Well, little Miss Bibou freaked out at the last minute and didn't want to get onto the train for the ride. Aiaiaia! Well, by the time Dan and his father came back, everyone agreed that it was really time to leave. We put Bibou in her stroller, and take a slow walk towards the exit / entrance ... past Main Street - Shopping! We got some balloons for the kids and some other stuff. I bought Bibou a Tigger cape (don't have a pic of her in it yet... will post later). Bibou fell asleep in her stroller, that was how tired she was... she wasn't the only one. All of us were kaput, especially us adults... it was one tiring day. And we ALL agreed that no more EuroDisney until the kids were much much older, though us adults would try to come back one day during winter (just us adults only) and have fun ourselves! Sounds like a great plan! From now on, we just stick to cheap, fun places like the park or our back garden for the kiddies!
Here's a video Daddy captured of Bibou watching the boats go down the river.

Hey Annette,
It was a good thing Grumps didn't come with us. He would have been miserable! Though I think Disney would be quite fun with older kids!
Hope you all are doing good
