'Move your feet'

Oh yes, that simple sentence woke us right up this morning! Bibou was in bed with us this morning and as always, woke up before us. She was between us both and was trying to get off the bed herself, when my foot was 'in the way'. Both Daddy and I heard the sentence, 'move your feet'! Before this morning, she's only have uttered the word 'feet'.. let alone the other words and let alone stringing them all together and forming a sentence. Wow! That sure woke us up!
I had an old friend from Singapore who visited us today. Jeffery was visiting from Singapore. It was a lovely visit, and it sure was great to see him. We were trying to figure out when the last time we saw each other... and gave up. It must have been at least 6-8 years since. Time sure does fly.
Then this afternoon, Bibou, who still has the shoe fetish going (see first few Blogs from May), was playing around with my shoes, when she decided that she was going to try and wear them. And she did! She slipped her feet into my shoes (granted they were slip ons), and amazingly was able to 'walk' in them without tripping! she was very tickled by it.... as were we! She then tried to open the front door (fortunately, she's not been able to figure the front door yet!), so that she could go out in her adult shoes! She's also really enjoying and appreciating music these days. Every time she hears music, any kind of music, but especially music that she's familiar with, she gets all excited and happy. She'll bop to the music, or if it is an 'action' music that she knows, she'll be acting the actions out. She's also starting to 'sing' to the songs, 'shouting' out words that she can make out.. great timing she has too!
In the evening, we were playing out in the garden (trying to get her to work off the last of her energy before bedtime), we tried to play wheelbarrow with her.... and she did it! She's got such strong upper arm strength. But that tired her out quickly, so we were able to get her to bed fairly soon after that! Another day with Bibou gone by.
