A Painter is Born

Since Bibou is always playing 'finger painting' with her dinner, we thought 'hmmmm, why not?'... and went out and got her some ''FINGER PAINTING stuff! Oh yeah, we sure did.
But first, we spent a lovely brunch at Cusine & Confidence in Paris. We sat out on the Terrace, as the weather was just so gorgeous! The sun was lovely and warm. Bibou sat smugly in her high chair and ate her pain au chocolat (and loved it!). Then she finished and asked to get down, so that she can kiss and say hello to the little 15 month girl in her stroller next to us. The girl's father was amazed at how gentle she was with other babies. There was also a large empty area behind the terrace and while we were finishing up our food, we took turns 'chasing' Bibou in the area. She loves the empty space to run and run and run. It was no wonder she 'dropped dead' as soon as the car started rolling again. So while Daddy and Bibou slept in the car, I ran into Toys "R Us and had a great time buying stuff for Bibou... including the finger painting stuff.
Once Bibou was awake from her nap, Daddy took out the easel while I tried to find some old clothes for her. Well, not surprising I couldn't find any old clothes of hers, so I dug out an old, way too small (for me!) top and we put it on her. PERFECT! It fitted her like a smock. And as we'd expected, she totally took to it. She couldn't wait for Daddy to stop 'showing' her how it was done... dipped her fingers into the paint and went for it. She also took out the brush and started painting with it.... but after a while, unforutnately, she realized that it was more fun to 'paint' herself rather than the paper! Good thing we won't need that T-shirt/smock anymore... well, we'll keep it as a smock for Bibou from now on.
Next we got out the sponges that came with the set so that they may make 'shapes' with the paint. They were fun, but I think she prefered using her fingers, so back to finger painting again! Until she found it more fun to finger paint herself again!! So Daddy went, why not, we painted her whole hand green so that she can doing hand painting. Of course most of it ended up on her 'smock'.... and I was running quickly from her so that she didn't get any on me!
After we 'cleaned' her up (by just washing her hands in the bucket) and taking off the smock, we played in the garden with some more bubbles! Oh and then Daddy played helicopter with her (balancing her on his raised feet while he was on his back). Golly the squeals of delights that came from her. I guess she really enjoyed that too. Well little Bibou's very very tired
, after a long active day. Time to bring her up for her bath and bed time. Later guys!
